I am pretty amazed by this. I have some metal lamp bases and some small metal tools I had been wanting to take to a welder but this handy little tool amazingly is perfect for the little jobs I need. It is super easy to use, comes with gloves and a great supply of rods and only requires plugging into a grounded 110V plug. IMPRESSIVE!This is best for smaller jobs but also requires a LOT of care (long sleeves, welders gloves, etc) and still needs a little practice (the rods are long). The biggest thing is that the includes make shift mask with black glass insert for eye protection doesn't have straps so it will be important to secure it to your face well with another mask under it and straps to secure it or attach it to another full helmet/mask (note.. flame retardant hats and covering highly needed.. this is still a welding device and it is easy to get burnt!)Considering the ease for using for home repairs, this is an excellent value.Definitely look up videos and tutorials if not experienced.. it takes patience and some skill. Read manual carefully as the interior is heavy duty high conducting copper... so it must be grounded well and it must be used in ideal conditions with high ventilation (the fumes are nasty!)

This welder is so much smaller than my last one from about 15 years ago, and everything fits neatly into a useful case. The operations are simple, and the price is similar to competitors, making it a straightforward option for both welding projects and quick repairs. I especially appreciate the quick, adjustable power output. However, keep in mind that it can draw up to 4600W, so you should use a proper outlet and extension cord (a standard 16A will not work on high power, its better to use 6 or 8 AWG cord with a proper outlet).One thing I would change quickly - is the helmet; investing in an auto-darkening welding helmet would make using this welder much more comfortable.Pros: - Compact design with a practical carrying case - Simple operation with quick adjustable power output - Great value compared to competitors - Everything you need to start welding is includedCons: - Included hand "helmet" should be updated first thingIf you don't need anything powerful - it will do the job fixing or some welding DYI projects.
